Basis. These Aims and Basis form the core structure of SCM india.
St. Pauls College also follows these ideas and implements these
in its works.

Aims:
The
SCM Seeks to be a student community which enables students:
to become committed to Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and
Liberator
to understand critically and participate creatively in the
total life of the University
to become aware of the contemporary social realities and
be involved in the struggles for fuller ......humanity
to participate in the life of the Church for its mission,
renewal and unity
To
this end:
to initiate, facilitate and co-ordinate.

Basis:
The Word of God, revealed in the Bible,
active in history and witnessed to by the Holy Sprit.

Pauls College Unit is under the West Bengal Region, headed
by Mr. Sandeep Pramanik. He is the Program Secretary for
this region. He has come from a place called Sundarban.
He came to Kolkata to complete his education, on his way
he became part of SCM. From 1997-1998 he was the Unit
Secretary of St. Paul's College Unit as well as the Students
Secretary. From 1999 till date he is the Program Secretary
of this region. |

St.
Pauls College is located in Calcutta (now known as Kolkata), the
northern side which is basically the old Kolkata. It is a collge
under Calcutta University. The members of Student Christian Movement
of this unit are engaged in different activities. Activities like
having One Day Seminars, Regional Camps, Zonal Camps, National
Camps, Magazines, Group Discussions with different groups of youths
etc.
Currently
Student Christian Movement of India is celebrating its Ninetyeth
Year in India, for this reason different regions are doing special
activities to highlight the ocassion. Stickers, Posters etc. are
some of them. Our region has taken up the resposibility of printing
Tshirts for this ocassion. The Tshirts are avilable in two different
designs done by our own students. They are being sold for Rs.100.
Other
than St. Paul's College Unit, West Bengal Region has XX
