Camp
at Sundarban 14th - 17th December 2001
A
Camp was organized by the SCMI St. Paul's Unit at
Assembly of God Church - Gosaba Unit, Sundarban (West
Bengal). The topic of the camp was Gods word and present
youth. Students from St. Paul's Unit went to this place
and stayed during the course of training. We plan to do
more programs like these in the future here. |
Christmas
Celebration on 22nd December 2001.
St.
Paul's Unit took part in the annual Christmas celebration
in the college. We did a drama, it was a new type of drama
in which we tried to fuse old concepts with new concept.
We showed the birth of christ in the Indian context. Other
than this we also did some Christmas songs. The college
Chapel was beautifully decorated by the SCM students. |
Camp
at Chennai 29th December 2001 - 2nd January 2002
Two
members from our Unit attended the Conference at Delta Training
center, Chennai. It was an interesting opportunity for our
members to be there. They enjoyed the stay there and learnt
many new things. Specially on 29th they went to a Dalit
village, where they met the local people to understand there
problem. Our members will attend more of such conferences
in future. |
One
day Leadership Camp at Kolkata - 24th January 2002
A
one day Leadership Building training was organised by
the SCM Student members of St. Pauls College in association
with Networking Alliance for Voluntary Actions. Students
from different SCM units in Kolkata had come to this program.
All the students present at the program gave a very positive
sign towards this innitiative and had given their full
to this program. Subhadip Mukherjee, Praveen Kerketta
and Doris Baa from SCM, had done all the initiative for
this program

One day Interaction with International representatives
- 27th
January 2002
| A
one day meet was organised at St. Georges Church, Kolkata.
Representatives from War Resisters International, Australlia
were present at the program. They gave the students present
at the program with very informative informations regarding
Arms conflict and the role of Western Countries in these.This
program was co organised by Networking
Alliance for Voulntary Actions (NAVA) and
Swadhina.
Subhadip Mukherjee and Praveen Kerketta had done all the
initiative for this program |
